Comfort Paws

Comfort Paws

Comfort Paws (CP) visits provide a more relaxed and informal opportunity for therapy dog teams to connect with people in need of emotional support. Unlike Waggin’ Tails presentations, Comfort Paws Visits focus on direct interaction rather than a structured show.

During these visits, therapy dog teams move through larger groups of people, offering calm, supportive one-on-one interactions. Participants are encouraged to pet, talk to, and spend quiet time with the therapy dogs, which can help reduce stress, improve mood, and create a sense of connection.

Comfort Paws are commonly organized as stress-relief events at schools, universities, workplaces, and special community gatherings. They are particularly valuable during high-pressure periods such as exam weeks, community events, or times when emotional support can make a meaningful difference.

By bringing trained therapy dogs directly to people in these environments, Comfort Paws provide a simple yet powerful way to promote well-being, relaxation, and positive human connection.
